HOW IT WORKS:

FIRST: In order to establish a care relationship you will first need to call us at 425-750-4196. During your phone interview we will ask you questions about your pups size, breed, weight, personality and needs. We are a small family owned business, please allow time to respond within 24-48 hours weekdays.

NEXT, if all sounds like a good fit we require a Daycare Prep Day to ensure that your pup can mingle and acclimate into play with fellow guests without incident. We give you a brief, quick mini-tour at drop-off. The less time parents linger the less anxiety your pup will have. We have been doing this for 17 years and our system works really well. You will receive one Daycare Prep Day Confirmation email from us with your packet, forms and location address.

Pups are acclimated slowly to allow each new encounter to be a positive one. We typically bring just one guest out at a time so that a new pups can smell, interact and wander outside before introducing another pup into the mix. This process allows for everyone to remove fear, aggression and timidness as obstacles that may reduce play.

THEN, as long as your daycare prep day goes well; then we can book further daycare to prep for boarding or reserve boarding dates. All daycare is paid at drop-off. Boarding requires a deposit of 50% of the duration of the stay to reserve space. Space is limited, plan in advance. All payments are non-refundable. Care credit expires after 24 months.

If at any time, if your pup shows signs of overt aggression or is unable to play safely then we may remove your pup from the group and give you a call for pick-up. The safety of the pack is our top priority.

At this time, we are only offering Daycare Tuesday and/or Thursday by appointment only. NO DROP IN's

Boarding times: Drop-off 8-9am / Pick-up 5-6pm M-Saturday / Sunday 5-6pm Pick-up Only

Thank you, Team L.D.R.

What to BRING . . .

What to BRING,

The balance of your care will be due at drop-off (cash or check only – we do not take cards at this time).

Bring enough food for the duration of your pups stay (extra is always better). Your pup will likely get more hungry here since they will be playing, interacting or sniffing throughout each day. We can accommodate about a 5 pound bag of food. Your pup gets an individual cubby when they arrive that is about the size of a large man’s shoe box. Only use store bags, Ziplock bags or plastic Tuber-ware. No glass please.

What to LEAVE at Home,

Leave all bedding, toys and bowls at home. We use stainless steel feeding bowls that get washed daily. We also wash bedding daily so it is always clean and has our own smell. Things from home will either become targets for marking or get chewed up by fellow pups.

Do not bring snacks to share. With a variety of tummy concerns or pup allergies we do not allow pups to share food, treats or snacks. Do not bring rawhide, raw meat, bones or Greenies. These are all possible choking and health hazards and cannot be given during care.

All-Inclusive Care Benefits for Added Relaxation

We like to keep things all inclusive here at the LITTLE DOG RETREAT, we do not charge extra for Relaxation Benefits. Instead, each session is a group session but honestly the pups seem to like it that way. At various times throughout the week we offer different services to help our guests relax and rest. Including, massage, JinShin, bodywork, Tibetan Sound Bath, Music, EFT Tapping, Reiki, Aromatherapy and Earthing (lots of garden and grassy playtime). Pups are able to move around, join in or opt out.
